About Ann

Ann Gorewitz is a writer whose publications reflect her passions - her beloved dog Cassie, coping with her husband's chronic illnesses, the Brooklyn neighborhood where she grew up in the 1960s and participating in endurance events.

She graduated from Columbia University with a Doctorate in Education and held senior level positions specializing in learning & development, diversity, and preventing workplace harassment for Fortune 100 companies, non-profit organizations, and as a self-employed consultant.


As a child she was the runt no one picked to be on a sports team.To her surprise at age fifty she discovered how much she enjoyed running.That led to completing nine NYC Marathons, six olympic-distance NYC triathlons, several half-marathons, sprint triathlons and many cycling vacations.
